Morcos Discusses Media Landscape with Information Faculty Alumni Delegation

Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, on Wednesday welcomed a delegation from the Information Faculty Alumni Association to his office at the ministry. The delegation was led by Khodor Majed, the Director of Lebanese Studies and Publications at the Ministry of Information.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, following the meeting, Khodor Majed expressed that the association was honored to meet with Dr. Morcos. They discussed the media landscape in the country, specifically acknowledging the recent appointments at Tele Liban. Majed highlighted the appointment of Dr. Elissar Naddaf, a member of the Information Faculty Alumni Association, crediting her competence for this achievement.

Majed also praised advancements in the media employees' retirement file within the Information Ministry and expressed hope for a resolution in the House of Parliament's General Assembly. He emphasized the importance of addressing the association's concerns in discussions about a new media law, particularly the need to uphold the status of media graduates in new institutions.

The conversation further encompassed academic issues, focusing on training topics and suggesting necessary legal amendments to accommodate data science, artificial intelligence, and media developments in the country.
