MP Frangieh Optimistic About Lebanon’s Path to Stability

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received at Baabda Palace, MP Tony Frangieh, with whom he discussed the general situation in the country and the latest developments. On emerging, MP Frangieh said: 'I came to well-wish His Excellency the President on the holiday season, and to congratulate him on the outcomes of the visit of His Holiness the Pope and the good organization that accompanied it."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, MP Frangieh expressed optimism about Lebanon's current trajectory, stating that "Lebanon is currently witnessing a path towards building hope, based on political realities whose results we have begun to clearly see." This suggests a positive outlook for the country's future amid its ongoing challenges.

MP Frangieh also commended the undertakings of the Lebanese army and the Lebanese state, highlighting their efforts in deployment, disarmament, and restraint, which he noted have helped to prevent new tensions within the country. Furthermore, Frangieh expressed hope that the international community will apply pressure on Israel to cease its attacks, signaling a desire for regional stability and peace.
