NABATIEH: The southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, alongside members of the Amal Movement and the Maatouk family, conducted a mass funeral on Friday for 13 victims of last Tuesday's Israeli airstrike on the Ksar Al-Zaatar neighborhood. The community gathered to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the devastating attack. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the victims included Imad Fadel Maatouk, his wife Hanadi Qanbar, their children Ali, Mohammad, and Hussein, along with other relatives. Their homes were obliterated during the airstrike, leading to their tragic deaths. The bodies were laid out in the courtyard of Nabatieh's Rawdat al-Salihin Mosque, where Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadiq led the funeral prayer. The ceremony saw attendance from local officials and a large number of mourners who came to honor the deceased. Following the prayers, the victims were interred in a communal grave, marking the end of the somber proceedings. The community's grief was palpable as they united in mour ning the loss of their fellow citizens, highlighting the human toll of the ongoing conflict.
