CAESAREA: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stern warning to Iran and its ally, Hezbollah, following what he described as an "assassination" attempt involving a drone targeting his private residence. The Israeli leader vowed that such actions would not deter Israel from its efforts to combat terrorism. According to National news agency - Lebanon, the incident unfolded when a drone launched from Lebanon approached Netanyahu's home in Caesarea. The Prime Minister and his wife, Sara, were not present during the attack. Israeli air defenses successfully intercepted two additional drones fired from Lebanon earlier that morning, which triggered air raid sirens in Tel Aviv. In a statement shared on social media platform X, Netanyahu accused Hezbollah, which he referred to as a proxy of Iran, of orchestrating the attack. He declared, "The attempt by Iran's proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake. This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future." Netanyahu also issued a pointed warning to Iran, asserting that any attempts to harm Israeli citizens would result in severe repercussions. His comments underscore heightened tensions in the region, as Israel remains vigilant against threats perceived from Iran and its allies.
