GAZA: The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that occupation forces have detained displaced individuals and medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital, leaving their fate uncertain. The incident has added to the growing tension in the region, where a military operation has been ongoing for several weeks, resulting in significant casualties. According to Maan News Agency, the occupation forces compelled displaced males to remove their clothing and arrested several individuals. Medical staff at the hospital were assembled and confined to a single room. Among those detained was the hospital director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, who, along with others, was taken by the forces to an area within the hospital premises. Communication with the detained individuals has since been severed, leaving their status unknown. The military operation in the areas of Jabalia and Beit Lahia has persisted for 22 days. The Ministry of Health reports that the operation has resulted in over 1,000 fatalities, further exacerbating the humanita rian situation in the region. The international community continues to monitor the developments closely as the situation unfolds.
