Kuwait: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi declared on Tuesday that the official inauguration of the new maternity hospital will occur in the coming few weeks. He revealed that during the preliminary period, external clinics, radiation wards, and laboratories would be fully operational.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Al-Awadhi made this announcement during an inspection conducted by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with several ministers, at the hospital site in the Al-Sabah medical zone. The new hospital is a part of the medical care infrastructural projects outlined in the development strategy, neo Kuwait 2035.
Situated on a 65,000 square meter plot of land in the Al-Sabah medical zone, the hospital is designed following modern international standards, particularly for the treatment of women’s diseases. It features green and energy-saving buildings and is equipped with facilities to care for prematurely born babies. The hospital boasts an accomm
odation capacity of 789 beds, 58 rooms, and 28 operation wards.
