Directors of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affair Mohamed el Orabi asserted that the Egyptian-Chinese ties are in their best levels due to the strong political leaderships and their keenness on sharing their points of view and boosting joint cooperation for the interest of both countries. In statements to MENA on the sidelines of a seminar under the rubric 'Egypt and China.. Ten years on establishing comprehensive strategic partnership', Orabi reiterated that Egypt and China have similar stances on several international issues including the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Both countries have similar stance towards the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, he said, adding that China rejects the forced displacement attempts against the Palestinians. Egypt and China urge the international community to shoulder its responsibility to reach peace between Palestine and Israel via implementing the two-state solution, he said. The Egyptian-Chinese ties witnessed development and growth in the past periods in ligh t of joint interests and keenness on pushing the relations forward to meeting the aspirations of achieving development, he said. Egypt is keen on boosting the Chinese investments and benefiting from the technological and developmental expertise in addition to developing economic and developmental cooperation, he said. The Egyptian government is keen on promoting cooperation with the Chinese side within the framework of 'Belt and Road Initiative,' he said, adding that the initiative goes with Egypt Vision 2030 as it encourages economic growth and manufacturing and promotes economic and trade cooperation.
