Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) Chairman Mohamed el Orabi on Saturday 17/06/2023 said relations between India and Egypt, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, have been witnessing unprecedented momentum in all domains.
Orabi made the remarks on the sidelines of an Egyptian-Indian consultation session grouping ECFA members and a visiting delegation of India Foundation (IF), under Ram Madhav, a member of the IF board of trustees.
Madhav is currently visiting here ahead of the anticipated official visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Egypt on June 24-25.
The Egyptian-Indian relations have been promoted to the level of strategic partnership, for the first time ever, following president Sisi's visit to India in January, as a guest of honor invited to celebrations held to mark India's "Republic Day", Orabi said.
The ECFA chairman, meanwhile, asserted Egypt's keenness on furthering economic and trade cooperation with Indian firms alongside boosting joint investments, in order to contribute to the country's ongoing economic development path.
The visiting delegation of the New Delhi-based think tank, IF, has conveyed the Asian country's keenness on fostering joint action with the aim of maximizing the shared interests and utilizing opportunities, Orabi added.
