As part of the 16th cultural summer festival 'Saifi Thakafi 16', Peruvian experts in handicrafts, and traditional weaving and dyeing displayed magnificent products at a workshop hosted by Al-Sadu House in Kuwait on Wednesday. The workshop is co-organized by the Peruvian embassy and Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL). It is the first activity being done under the agreement on cultural cooperation signed by Kuwait and Peru in last November, Peruvian Ambassador Carlos Manuel Mendiola told KUNA. He appreciated the efforts being made by NCCAL and Al-Sadu House to promote the presence of the Peruvian culture at the ongoing exhibition and shed light on the traditional weaving in Peru. Organized by NCCAL, the 16th cultural summer festival opened in early July under auspices of Minister of Information and Culture Abdurahman Al-Mutairi and lasts for two months.
