Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday underlined the necessity of abiding by the predetermined standards while carrying out renovation operations in the environs of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and roads leading to it, in order to maintain the sustainability elements after finalizing the restoration process.
The premier urged commitment to the set timetable of the renovation project.
This came after his tour tour of the GEM earlier in the day, followed by an inspection tour of the sites of the underway renovation activities in the vicinity of the museum and roads leading it, including Fayoum road, Remaya Square, and the entrance of El Gaish street.
Madbouli attended the planting of palms, trees and landscape plants in the whole area to give an aesthetic appearance to the project.
The ring road is one of the key axes leading to the GEM and coordination is maintained with consultancy offices to enhance buildings located on the sides of the road, in order to provide a unique tourist experience for visitors, Giza Governor Ahmed Rashed said.
He added that painting of the facades of the buildings will continue along with removing all encroachments on the sides of the services road of the ring road. (MENA)
