PM Meets with Bar Association President to Discuss Legislative Cooperation

AMMAN: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan engaged in a constructive meeting with Yahya Abu Aboud, president of the Jordan Bar Association, to reinforce cooperation on legal and legislative matters. The meeting is part of the prime minister's broader strategy to engage with key national sectors, including professional associations, to enhance governance and rule of law in the country. According to Jordan News Agency, the prime minister reiterated the government's dedication to working closely with the Bar Association to benefit from its extensive legal expertise. The discussions focused on legislative amendments advocated by the association, particularly aimed at improving the Social Solidarity Fund and the Legal Aid System to ensure better access to justice. Prime Minister Hassan also expressed the government's backing for the Bar Association's initiative to set up a pioneering training institute for lawyers. Abu Aboud highlighted that the institute would be unique in the region, offering programs designed to tra in lawyers using best practice standards. In conclusion, the prime minister assured Abu Aboud that the government would prioritize the legislative initiatives proposed by the Bar Association and undertake the necessary actions to advance them legally.
