PM Nawaf Salam Chairs National Water Authority Meeting to Address Water Sector Issues

Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam convened a meeting of the National Water Authority at the Grand Serail. The session focused on discussing the current state of the country's water sector.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting included the presence of several key government officials. Among those in attendance were Minister of Energy and Water Joe Saddi, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar, Minister of Industry Joe Issa Khoury, Minister of Environment Tamara El-Zein, Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny, and Minister of Public Health Rakan Nassereddine.

The session was also attended by the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Judge Mahmoud Makkieh. Key figures from regional water authorities, including Jean Gebran from the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation, Wassim Daher from the South Lebanon Water Establishment, Khaled Obeid from the North Lebanon Water Establishment, and Sami Alawieh from the Litani River National Authority, were present to contribute to the discussions.
