PM Nawaf Salam Expresses Hope for Ceasefire Success at Cabinet Session

Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam presided over a Cabinet session at the Grand Serail, joined by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri and various ministers, including those of Finance, Culture, Energy and Water, among others. The session aimed to address ongoing national concerns amidst recent developments.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Prime Minister Salam emphasized the Lebanese government's commitment to ending the war imposed on Lebanon. He expressed hope for the success of the ceasefire announced by the United States and Iran, which aims to halt the conflict and alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people. Salam extended gratitude to those involved in achieving the ceasefire.

Salam further highlighted the ongoing negotiations in Washington, focused on securing the complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the release of detainees. He reassured that the government has been actively utilizing available resources to tackle the displacement crisis, emphasizing the importance of safe and dignified returns for displaced individuals. The Prime Minister pledged to bolster efforts with international partners to facilitate reconstruction efforts across affected regions.
