PM Nawaf Salam Meets OECD Secretary-General in Dubai to Discuss Commitment to Transparency


Dubai: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam held a meeting in Dubai with the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann. The meeting was also attended by OECD’s Director of Global Relations and Co-operation, Andreas Schaal, and the Head of the Middle East and Africa Division, Carlos Conde.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon,the Lebanese delegation included Minister of Finance Yassine Jaber, Minister of Economy Amer Bisat, as well as the Prime Minister’s advisers: President of the Basil Fuleihan Institute for Economy and Finance, Lamia Moubayed, and Ambassador Claude Hajal. During the meeting, the Lebanese side highlighted the strong partnership with the OECD, emphasizing Lebanon’s commitment to aligning its policies with international standards as part of its reform agenda.



The Lebanese government reiterated its commitment to transparency and integrity in governance and the management of aid, aiming to enhance international confidence. Both parties agreed to continue their coordination and cooperation, supporting reform efforts and enhancing Lebanon’s integration into international best standards and practices.
