Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday hosted MP Dr. Farid Boustani at Baabda Palace to discuss the country’s ongoing situation and the advancements in constructing the Deir al-Qamar governmental hospital.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Boustani, who chairs the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, informed journalists after the meeting that he had updated President Aoun on the progress made concerning the hospital’s establishment. Boustani expressed gratitude for the hospital’s realization, noting that the administrative committee is collaborating with the Minister of Public Health for its upcoming official inauguration. He highlighted that the necessary equipment and staff are now ready, marking a significant milestone.
Additionally, Boustani mentioned plans to open a branch of the Deir al-Qamar and Chouf Real Estate Department, facilitated by the Minister of Finance, which aims to ease citizens’ daily activities. He also confirmed that President Aoun reiterated the commitment to holding parliamentary elections within the constitutional timeframe.
In a subsequent meeting, President Aoun discussed the operations of public prosecution offices with Public Prosecutor Judge Jamal Hajjar at Baabda Palace.
