Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday met with Democratic Gathering Secretary-General MP Hadi Abou Al-Hosn to review political developments, particularly ongoing negotiations and efforts to consolidate the ceasefire.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the talks also focused on a development project aimed at establishing a renewable energy facility serving towns and villages in Upper Metn and neighboring areas within the Qaysamani Dam zone, with practical steps related to funding and implementation expected to begin soon.
Separately, former minister Elias Murr met the president and expressed confidence in the Lebanese delegation participating in negotiations, particularly the military team. Murr described negotiations during wartime as a natural and necessary path for protecting national interests, voicing optimism about achieving tangible results through the efforts led by President Aoun and the Presidency.
