Bkerki: Maronite bishops from Lebanon and the diaspora commenced their annual spiritual retreat at the Patriarchal See in Bkerki, led by Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the retreat, which is set to conclude on Saturday, June 6, with a Divine Liturgy, is being guided by Father Michel Antoine Khoury, the Superior General of the Antonine Maronite Order. The retreat began with a joint prayer service, during which Patriarch Al-Rahi welcomed the bishops and Father Khoury. He expressed hope that the retreat would be spiritually fruitful and serve as crucial preparation for the Maronite Synod, which is scheduled to kick off on June 8.
Patriarch Al-Rahi also acknowledged Father Khoury's contributions to the Antonine Order and the Church, extending his gratitude for leading this year's spiritual exercises.
