President Aoun Engages in Strategic Discussions with Political Figures and Ministers

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received "Strong Republic" bloc MP Melhem Riachy at Baabda Palace, delegated by Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, offering him congratulations on the holidays. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the current general situation and political dossiers. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with Water and Energy Minister Joe Saddi, who briefed him on the ministry's projects in the water and energy sectors. The discussion included ongoing communications with Gulf countries regarding potential investment in the energy sector. President Aoun further engaged with "Independence Movement" Head and MP Michel Mouawad, who visited to offer holiday greetings. During their discussion, MP Mouawad expressed his support for President Aoun's national endeavors and emphasized the importance of ending the existence of weapons outside the state's framework to prevent Lebanon from being drawn into wars. Additionally, Presid ent Aoun held a meeting with Industry Minister Joe Issa Khoury to discuss general affairs and the ministry's work. Minister Issa Khoury reviewed his tenure over the past ten months and the ministry's current situation. He thanked the President for his support, particularly regarding the recent conference and exhibition and for proposing the designation of the first Thursday of November as Lebanese Industry Day. They also reviewed the broader regional and national circumstances. In a separate engagement, President Aoun met with MP Sajih Attieh and later with former MP Amal Abou Zaid to discuss general public affairs and issues related to the Jezzin district.
