Baabda: The new Ambassador of the Republic of Nepal, Sushil Kumar Lamsal, presented his credentials to President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, during an official ceremony held today at Baabda Presidential Palace, in the presence of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister, Youssef Emile Rajji.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Nepal to Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammad Wissam Ghzayel, attended the credential presentation ceremony, along with the Third Secretary at the Embassy, Madhab Raj Kafle.
A friendly atmosphere prevailed during the encounter, reflecting the deep historical relations between the two countries. Ambassador Raj Kafle conveyed the greetings of the Nepalese President and a congratulatory message to President Aoun on his election.
Talks during the meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Lebanon and expanding areas of joint cooperation, particularly in the consular and humanitarian fields.
It is worth noting that Ambassador Lamsal is the first Nepalese ambassador to Lebanon to use a wheelchair, and he was warmly welcomed by Lebanese officials, a gesture that reflects Lebanon's commitment to the values of dignity, respect, and diversity.
