Kuwait City: President Joseph Aoun's visit to Kuwait has been described as a significant step towards enhancing bilateral cooperation between Lebanon and Kuwait. Kuwaiti Embassy Charg© d'Affaires in Lebanon, Counselor Yassin Al-Majed, emphasized the importance of this visit, highlighting the enduring and fraternal relations between the two nations.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the visit is a result of an invitation from His Highness, Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Al-Majed emphasized Kuwait's commitment to supporting Lebanon's stability and unity, citing historical ties and shared values as the foundation of their relationship.
Al-Majed also noted Kuwait's humanitarian response during recent conflicts, mentioning the establishment of a relief air bridge to aid Lebanon amid aggression from Israeli forces. This initiative underscores Kuwait's steadfast support for Lebanon under all circumstances, as well as its dedication to the political stability and development of the country.
President Aoun's two-day official visit includes talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, further solidifying the cooperation between the two countries.
