Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday congratulated the Lebanese, in general, and Muslims, in particular, on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha, "a feast that embodies the highest meanings of sacrifice and loyalty."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized that the meanings of this Eid serve as a lesson that calls on all Lebanese, Muslims and Christians alike, to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and giving for the sake of the country. He noted that Lebanon is currently facing enormous challenges that require unity, strong will, and firm determination to advance the nation towards a better future.
Aoun urged the Lebanese people to sacrifice their narrow differences for the nation's supreme interests and to adhere to the values of tolerance, brotherhood, and solidarity that have always characterized Lebanese society. He highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity among the people of Lebanon, describing the nation as one of the message, and emphasized the need to build a future worthy of its ancient history and authentic civilization.
