President Joseph Aoun Emphasizes Reform Necessity in Meeting with Deputy PM and Delegations

Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, emphasized the urgent need for reforms that can transform mindsets, stating that rebuilding a new Lebanon is achievable by moving beyond sectarian, religious, and partisan divides for the nation's benefit.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun highlighted the importance of combating corruption and establishing an impartial judiciary during his meeting at Baabda Palace with delegations from the Antonine Maronite Order and Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), who visited to congratulate him on his presidential election.

In a separate meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri, President Aoun discussed recent developments, particularly focusing on the situation in southern Lebanon. He also met Lebanon's Ambassador to the UAE, Fouad Chehab Dandan, to discuss the status of the Lebanese community in the UAE and the bilateral relations between the two nations.
