President Joseph Aoun Engages in Key Discussions on Diplomatic and Syndical Issues

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, held a series of meetings that focused on the outcomes of his Washington visit, as well as on ministerial, legislative, and public affairs issues.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun received Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jessica Svardstr¶m, at Baabda Palace. The ambassador visited in a farewell capacity as she concluded her diplomatic mission in Lebanon. President Aoun expressed gratitude for her efforts in strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two nations across various fields.

In another meeting, President Aoun engaged with MP Antoine Habchi to discuss the general situation in Lebanon amidst current developments. On the syndical front, he met with a delegation from the Teachers' Syndicate, headed by Syndicate Dean Nehme Mahfouz. During the meeting, President Aoun emphasized the importance of education as Lebanon's key investment and asset, advocating for diplomacy over conflict.

Additionally, President Aoun received a delegation from the Union of Transit Truck Owners for external transport in Lebanon, led by Captain Ahmad Al-Khair. The delegation presented demands aimed at improving the work conditions of transit truck drivers. President Aoun assured the delegation of his commitment to addressing these demands with the relevant ministers and praised the sector's role in bolstering the national economy and facilitating the export of Lebanese products.
