Baabda: The Baabda presidential palace on Wednesday hosted a series of significant meetings involving ministerial, parliamentary, diplomatic, and educational engagements. President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, conducted discussions with various officials on pressing national matters.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun met with Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar. Their discussions focused on the country's security situation, the operations of the Ministry of Interior's directorates, and the measures implemented by security forces to ensure stability.
In the realm of parliamentary affairs, President Aoun engaged with MP Hagop Terzian. Their conversation revolved around the general state of the nation, recent developments, ongoing debates over the parliamentary elections law, and the stances of various parliamentary factions on this issue.
President Aoun also held talks with MP Waddah Al-Sadek. MP Al-Sadek highlighted discussions on numerous topics, including arms monopoly and reconstruction efforts. He also shared his perspective on the parliamentary elections law and advocated for the voting rights of the Lebanese diaspora.
On the diplomatic front, the President received the outgoing Tunisian Ambassador to Lebanon, Bouraoui Limam. President Aoun praised the ambassador's role in bolstering Lebanese-Tunisian relations and extended his best wishes for the ambassador's future endeavors.
Additionally, President Aoun met with a delegation from the Lebanese University's contractual professors at Baabda Palace. The delegation presented their ongoing demands, and President Aoun assured them of his commitment to addressing their full-time status concerns.
