Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday affirmed during a meeting with a delegation from Saint Joseph University that "the state alone protects us, and the Lebanese people aspire to a state built on transparency, justice, and competence."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun stressed that "the path to peace is difficult, but we have the will to achieve it. Despite the war, things are moving in the right direction, and nothing will stop us."
Aoun noted that "the state is seeking to attract new blood and talents that can contribute to rebuilding the country. We are also working to restore trust between the state and its people, as well as between Lebanon and the outside world," noting that "things have begun to move in the right direction, despite the obstacles imposed to some extent by the war, but nothing will stop us."
