President Joseph Aoun to Attend EU Council Presidency Ceremony in Nicosia

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and Lebanon's First Lady Nehmat Aoun, will depart Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport this afternoon, heading to Cyprus, at the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides, to attend the official ceremony being held in Nicosia on the occasion of Cyprus's assumption of the presidency of the Council of the European Union for a six-month term.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ceremony will be an opportunity for President Aoun to hold meetings with a number of heads of state and participating delegations. The event marks an important diplomatic engagement, allowing Lebanon to strengthen ties with European Union member states and other attending nations. The discussions are expected to cover topics of mutual interest and international cooperation.

President Aoun's visit to Nicosia underscores Lebanon's commitment to engaging in regional and international affairs.
