Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon, Imran Riza, at the Grand Serail. The meeting focused on the coordination between the Lebanese government and United Nations institutions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, earlier in the day, Premier Salam met with the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon, Dorothee Klaus. The discussions addressed the challenges UNRWA is confronting in both local and regional contexts.
The Prime Minister also welcomed a delegation from the International Confederation of Lebanese Businessmen, led by Professor Fouad Zmokhol, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Saint Joseph University. The delegation expressed their support for Premier Salam's initiatives aimed at Lebanon's recovery.
In a separate meeting, Salam was visited by a delegation from Saint Joseph University, led by Father Salim Daccache. They invited the Premier to join the university's celebration of its 150th anniversary on March 19.
Additionally, Salam hosted a delegation from the University College of Nonviolence and Human Rights (AUNOHR), headed by Dr. Ugarit Younan. The delegation, accompanied by the College Board of Trustees, briefed the Premier on the university's goals and activities.
