Princess Muna Honored at International Council of Nurses’ 125th Anniversary in Bucharest

BUCHAREST: Princess Muna, President of the Jordanian Nursing Council, participated as a guest of honor in the International Council of Nurses' 125th-anniversary celebration, underscoring her commitment to advancing the nursing profession and its role in health policy-making. According to Jordan News Agency, Princess Muna delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of investing in nursing and enhancing its leadership role within health policy-making frameworks. The event, held at the Romanian Parliament, gathered representatives from over 50 countries to commemorate the milestone. During the ceremony, Princess Muna was recognized with the Romanian Nursing Association Medal and was bestowed the title of "Nursing and Health Ambassador" by the International Council of Nurses. The accolades highlight her ongoing dedication to the nursing sector. The Council also unveiled the "Bucharest Declaration on the Future of Nursing," a document outlining strategies to strengthen the role of nursing in decision-making a nd health policies. The declaration calls for investments in education, leadership, and innovation within the nursing field to bolster global health outcomes.
