The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine decreased by 1.91% in May compared to April, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). PPI for locally consumed products decreased by 2.03% and for locally exported products by 0.74% in May compared to April, it said. The changes in PPI for May were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: Major Activities % Change Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – 5.85% Agriculture, forestry and fishing – 4.15% Mining and quarrying – 2.03% Manufacturing – 0.27% Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities – 0.05%
