Producer Price Index in Palestine down by almost 2% in May – PCBS

The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine decreased by 1.91% in May compared to April, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). PPI for locally consumed products decreased by 2.03% and for locally exported products by 0.74% in May compared to April, it said. The changes in PPI for May were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: ­­­­­­­Major Activities % Change Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - 5.85% Agriculture, forestry and fishing - 4.15% Mining and quarrying - 2.03% Manufacturing - 0.27% Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities - 0.05%
