Putin Pledges Commitment to Multipolar World at BRICS Summit

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed his commitment to promoting a multipolar world at the conclusion of the BRICS summit, emphasizing the importance of establishing a new global order based on justice and United Nations norms. According to Kuwait News Agency, Putin addressed a news conference at the end of the summit, outlining the key topics discussed with leaders of the BRICS member states, which include Russia, India, China, Brazil, and South Africa, along with newly joined members Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the UAE. The discussions covered a range of issues, including the Middle East and enhancing financial cooperation. Putin highlighted efforts to expand the BRICS group, with plans for joint ventures in industries and infrastructure. The Russian President also announced that Brazil would assume leadership of the group in the coming year. The BRICS organization, established in 2006, aims to foster economic collaboration and mutual development among its member countries.
