Rahi Hosts Saudi Ambassador Bukhari in Bkerki, Engages with National Leaders.

Bkerki: Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, welcomed Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, at the patriarchal residence in Bkerki. Ambassador Bukhari highlighted Saudi Arabia's support for Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of electing a president for the Lebanese Republic as a crucial step toward national solutions. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Bukhari praised the Patriarch's efforts in promoting internal unity and acknowledged the significance of the recent spiritual summit held in Bkerki. The Ambassador also updated the Patriarch about the ongoing efforts of the Quintet committee. In subsequent discussions, Patriarch Rahi met with a delegation from the "National Renewal Movement," led by Charles Arbid. Their conversation centered on the general situation in Lebanon. Additionally, the Patriarch engaged with the Spiritual Summit Recommendations' Follow Up Committee, which informed him about their recent meeting's outcomes and plans for an upcoming worksh op titled 'Displaced Persons: The Issue of National Unity.' Furthermore, Patriarch Rahi reached out to Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, expressing concern over the council's situation following Israeli aggression. He condemned the violence and reiterated the urgent need for a ceasefire and a resolution to Lebanon's ongoing conflict.
