Rajji Condemns Attacks on British Bases in Cyprus, Emphasizes Non-Representation by Lebanon

Beirut: Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister, Youssef Rajji, sent a text message today to his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos, expressing his strong condemnation of the attacks targeting British military bases in Cyprus. This came following the Cypriot Foreign Minister's announcement that the explosive-laden drones that carried out the attacks were launched from Lebanese territory.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rajji emphasized in his message that these acts do not represent Lebanon, its people, or its values. He underlined that Lebanon will not be a platform for implementing foreign agendas, urging his Cypriot friends not to confuse the Lebanese state with entities operating outside its authority and legal framework.

The Foreign Minister reiterated the Lebanese government's decision classifying all Hezbollah's military and security activities as illegal, emphasizing that the attacks on Cyprus fall precisely within this context, as they are carried out outside the authority of the state and contradict its sovereign decisions.

Rajji concluded by expressing profound regret over these reprehensible acts, while reaffirming Lebanon's complete and unequivocal condemnation of said acts with no reservation.
