Rasamny and US Ambassador Discuss Infrastructure Plans

Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, welcomed U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, for an introductory meeting where significant infrastructure topics were addressed. The discussions focused on modernizing Lebanon's transportation systems and the potential for transparent government-led reconstruction initiatives in the South.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Minister Rasamny outlined plans for the expansion of Rafic Hariri International Airport. The proposed enhancements include improvements in security measures and the introduction of new protocols at Beirut Port and Tripoli Port. These protocols involve appointing new boards of directors and installing advanced scanning equipment to improve safety, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Minister Rasamny expressed gratitude for the United States' ongoing support to Lebanon, emphasizing its role in strengthening state institutions and improving public service delivery.
