Msaileh: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, inspected today the site of the Israeli aggression in Msaileh, examining the damage caused to a large number of commercial establishments and homes. The Minister was accompanied by "Development and Liberation" parliamentary bloc member, MP Hani Kobeissi; Nabatieh Governor Houeida Turk, and South Region Director, Engineer Haitham Bazzi.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rasamny made a statement considering that no words can express the witnessed horror of destruction in wake of the attack, saying, "This scene confirms the barbarism of the enemy that does not want Lebanon to rise," stressing however that "we will rise."
"This aggression is against all of Lebanon, not just the South," Rasamny went on, adding, "What happened is a massacre and a crime in every sense of the word, and its confrontation is through our unity and high dignity."
Checking on the nearby damaged homes, the Minister listened to the residents and families' concerns and emphasized that the government's priorities are to stand with the south and rebuild it no matter the cost. He added that the Prime Minister would have been at the site had he not traveled to France.
"All that Israel is doing aims to divide us, but protecting the South and Lebanon lies in our unity," Rasamny underlined, reiterating that "our unity is what protects us."
