Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Wednesday met at his office with a delegation from the National Moderation Bloc comprising MPs Saji Atiyeh, Mohammad Sleiman, and Abdel Aziz Al-Samad. They discussed key development and service-related files concerning Akkar and North Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, talks focused on road paving and maintenance plans based on urgent infrastructure priorities aimed at improving road safety and public services. The meeting also addressed the proposed coastal highway project linking Tripoli and Akkar, in addition to the situation at border crossings, particularly Arida and Abboudieh, and ways to upgrade infrastructure and streamline movement to support tourism and trade.
Discussions further covered the operational framework of Qlayaat Airport and prospects for its activation as an economic driver for North Lebanon.
