Beirut: The Lebanese authorities on Thursday began reopening roads leading to the Grand Serail in Riyad al-Solh, after the Parliament's security forces commenced the process of clearing routes surrounding the Parliament building in Martyrs' Square the previous day.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the decision to reopen these roads is part of a broader initiative to restore normalcy to the area, which has been heavily restricted for an extended period. This move comes as an effort to ease access and improve traffic flow around significant governmental sites.
The security forces had initially cordoned off the roads leading to both the Grand Serail and the Parliament building due to heightened security concerns.
