Saddi Reviews Water and Electricity Projects During Aley Visit

Aley: Energy and Water Minister, Joe Saddi, on Wednesday visited Aley district to follow up on projects discussed during a previous visit in January, meeting municipalities and local officials in Bhamdoun alongside MPs Nazih Matta and Akram Chehayeb. Saddi emphasized that the visit underscores the ministry's commitment to an institutional approach centered on transparency and accountability, while providing updates on water, electricity, and infrastructure projects that are either underway or in the planning stages.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the projects in focus include drilling and equipping water wells, building reservoirs, and enhancing lighting networks. During the discussions, officials addressed the increasing pressure on water resources stemming from displacement, the necessity to protect water sources, and the importance of improving electricity supply. There were also calls for empowering municipalities with greater authority in managing local energy resources.
