Salam and Sanchez Discuss Gaza Conflict Amidst Baghdad Summit

Baghdad: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met this afternoon on the sidelines of the Arab Summit in Baghdad with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. The meeting focused on the ongoing conflict in Gaza and emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to stop the conflict and mitigate its humanitarian and political impacts.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam highlighted Lebanon's commitment to its national and humanitarian principles by calling for an immediate halt to the aggression against Gaza. He expressed gratitude for Spain's supportive stance towards Lebanon and its recognition of the State of Palestine, along with the adoption of the two-state solution as a step towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace.

Salam also extended his thanks to the Spanish Prime Minister for Spain's contribution to the international peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, underscoring the significance of such efforts in maintaining regional stability.
