Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday chaired the first meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with drafting the ministerial statement at the Grand Serail. The gathering marks the initial step in outlining the government's upcoming directives and objectives.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the committee is composed of key figures including Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Metri, Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh, Public Works and Transportation Minister Fayez Rasamny, and Industry Minister Joe Issa Khoury. These members are expected to play significant roles in shaping the ministerial statement.
The meeting was also attended by other notable officials, including the Director General of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Antoine Choucair, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makieh. Their presence underscores the importance of the discussions that centered on the draft ministerial statement.
The committee has scheduled its second meeting for 5:00 pm on the upcoming Thursday, February 13, where further deliberations on the draft are anticipated. This meeting is expected to continue the progress made and solidify the contents of the ministerial statement.
