Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the "underlying threat of civil war" issued by Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem in response to the government's decision to disarm his party.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in an excerpt from an interview he conducted with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, published on his "X" account, Salam said that the speech delivered by Naim Qassem "carried a veiled threat of civil war," adding that "threats and intimidation of civil war are completely unacceptable."
Salam warned against "irresponsible actions that encourage strife."
