Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated during a tour in Rachaya that restoring the authority of the state depends on completing the implementation of the Taif Agreement and correcting its misapplication. He emphasized that key aspects such as expanded decentralization and balanced development remain unfulfilled, noting that without these, stability in Lebanon cannot be achieved. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam also stressed the need to restrict weapons to the state alone, pointing out that there has been a failure to properly address this issue since the Taif Accord.
