Salameh Engages in Cultural Dialogue and Receives Invitation to Lebanese Book Festival


Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, on Friday welcomed two notable figures at his office in the National Library-Sanayeh-the Editor-in-Chief of An-Nahar newspaper, Ghassan Al-Hajjar, and the Superior General of the Basilian Salvatorian Order, Archimandrite Agapios Abu Saada. Dr. Salameh engaged in discussions with Al-Hajjar about potential collaborations on joint projects between the Ministry of Culture and An-Nahar.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, during the meeting, Archimandrite Abu Saada extended an invitation to Minister Salameh to attend a ceremony for the presentation of his book, “The Third Day: A Reading of Palestinian Christian Identity.” Furthermore, Dr. Salameh was invited to participate in a panel discussion about the book scheduled to take place at the Lebanese Book Festival in Antelias on March 15. In addition to the invitation, Abu Saada presented Minister Salameh with his second book, “Christians in the Crosswinds of the East.”



“The Third Day” provides a comprehensive examination of the circumstances faced by Christians in Palestine, who coexist with their fellow citizens amidst a historical backdrop filled with adversity, a challenging present, and a hopeful future sustained by unwavering faith.
