Shams awards winners of ‘Short Film Writing Challenge’ at Xposure

SHARJAH: Sharjah Media City (Shams) announced the winners of its media and creative competition, which drew considerable and diverse community involvement, as part of the recently concluded 8th International Photography Festival "Xposure 2024". Shams named Mona Al Zahiri the Best Idea Award winner, Rashid Abdoun the Best Story Award winner, and Sultan bin Dafon the Best Screenplay Award winner in its primary competition, the "Short Film Writing Challenge." This competition was based on an emotive image from the festival's events, and 25 people competed for it. In addition, five contestants were chosen to write the screenplay for a short series. Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Shams, presented the prizes to the winners at the festival's conclusion, thanking them for their successes in the awards and emphasising the significance of these honours in recognising, promoting, and refining unique talent.
