Sharjah Ruler Rebrands Petroleum Council to Petroleum Department

SHARJAH: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree renaming the Petroleum Council in the Emirate of Sharjah to the Petroleum Department. The change is to be reflected across all official documents and transactions involving the council. According to Emirates News Agency, the decree mandates that the new name, 'Petroleum Department,' be used in all legislative, administrative, financial, legal, and other related documents and transactions. This change aims at streamlining the identity and operations of the entity within the emirate's governance framework.
