Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stressed the need for the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and ensuring the regular and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid to the Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency "WAFA".
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that the meeting between the Egyptian president, the EU representative, and her accompanying delegation on Saturday addressed the situation in the region, particularly the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, and ways to enhance cooperation in combating terrorism, organized crime, and illegal immigration.
The statement emphasized the rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land and highlighted the need to expedite the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the reconstruction process. It also affirmed the necessity of continuing efforts to resume the political process, ultimately leading to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
