Paris: The State of Kuwait has reiterated its unwavering support for Lebanon, emphasizing its commitment to assisting Beirut in maintaining security and stability and restoring state institutions. This declaration was made by Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah, Kuwait's Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs, during an international conference in Paris aimed at supporting Lebanon's sovereignty and people. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Jarallah expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence, denouncing what he described as genocides perpetrated by Israeli forces against civilians in Lebanon and occupied Palestine. He criticized these actions as violations of international and humanitarian law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. Al-Jarallah condemned attacks on UN peacekeepers, urging respect for the safety of UN personnel and the sanctity of their missions. Al-Jarallah called for an immediate ceasefire and the cessation of military operations, advocating for inter national protection for Lebanese and Palestinian civilians. He also emphasized the importance of providing urgent aid to besieged regions. The Kuwaiti minister highlighted the risks posed by the international community's inaction in deterring these violations, warning that such inaction could lead to broader regional instability. He dismissed claims by Israeli authorities that their actions in Lebanon were self-defense, arguing that such actions were attempts to create chaos and instability. Al-Jarallah urged the international community to adhere to international laws and UN charters, warning against impunity for those undermining international peace efforts. The conference, initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron, brought together 70 delegations and 15 international organizations. It aims to garner support for a diplomatic solution in Lebanon and to raise at least USD 400 million in aid for the country. Al-Jarallah expressed gratitude to France for hosting the event, underscoring its significance in supporting Lebanon's people and sovereignty amid ongoing challenges.
