Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad arrived in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Thursday to take part in the 32nd Arab League Summit after an absence of participation in Arab meetings for about 12 years.
The Syrian president was received at the airport by Deputy Governor of Mecca Prince Bader bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Aboul Gheit,said Saudi press agency (SPA).
On May 10, the Syrian President received an official invitation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the 32nd Arab League Summit.
The League of Arab States is hoping for this session to be a fruitful summit that achieves its aspired goals.
Earlier today, Arab leaders began arriving in Jeddah to take part in the 32nd Arab Summit, which will be held tomorrow.
