Chinese official media reported that the northern Chinese province of Hebei has raised the level of emergency response for disaster relief to the highest level.
Heavy rains fell in Hebei province last week, prompting the Chinese authorities to evacuate more than 1.6 million people from their homes.
It is noteworthy that Typhoon Duxuri, which hit China, caused the largest amount of rain in the city in 140 years, and killed 33 people.
