Wednesday, the occupation authorities delivered notices to stop work and construction for 23 houses in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit.
Ibrahim Assi, mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, told Ma’a: The occupation authorities stormed the western area of the town, known as the “Al-Tall” area, and handed over 23 notices to stop work and construction for homes under the pretext that they are located in areas classified as “C.”
Assi explained that nine houses are inhabited and the others are under construction, noting that the number of notifications that were distributed during the current year is more than 100.
Assi stated that there is a period for objection, which begins from the time the notices are delivered until 10/11/2023.
In turn, the Governor of Salfit, Major General Dr. Abdullah Kamil, stressed the need for urgent action by all competent human rights institutions to confront the procedures and methodology of the occupation against our people in Salfit Governorate, especially in the targeted town of Qarawa Bani Hassan, calling on the people to cooperate with the municipal council and the governorate institution and provide the documents required for action.
