Zallaq: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), visited the Wen w Bkm Festival held at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Zallaq. This visit is part of her ongoing engagements with tourism and entertainment events across the Kingdom during the fourth edition of the Celebrate Bahrain Season 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during her visit, Minister Al Sairafi explored the festival's offerings, which include shopping, food, and family entertainment. The event showcases over 160 outlets, featuring Bahraini small businesses, productive families, as well as participants from GCC countries.
Minister Al Sairafi emphasized that the festival provides critical support for national projects and entrepreneurs by offering a platform for local businesses and productive families. She highlighted the festival's evolution over the past six years from a local event to one that now draws Gulf participation, enhancing Bahrain's tourism diversity and reinforcing the Kingdom's reputation as a family tourism destination.
She further commented that hosting the festival at BIC underscores the strategic use of national venues to bolster tourism events, offering an integrated experience for visitors. This reflects the importance of modern infrastructure in supporting the tourism sector and facilitating year-round activities.
The festival organizers expressed gratitude to the minister for her visit, commending the Ministry of Tourism and the BTEA for their support in organizing tourism and entertainment events. They acknowledged the supportive environment provided for national initiatives and local projects.
